On April 22, 2018, 15-year-old Lukas Mironovas strangled and stabbed his mother Kimberly, with the aid of two friends.

On July 26, 2018, 17-year-old Carlos Hallowell murdered his mother Denise Hallowell, after formerly defending her against abuse allegations.

On November 2, 2018, 15-year-old Gregory Ramos strangled his mother, Gail Cleavenger, and got two friends to help him cover it up.
